Rear extension to a period property

We have recently completed a rear extention to a period property in Woking, including kitchen and dining area, roof terrace and lantern roof lights. We are now in the process of applying the finishing touches to a superb double garage with pitched roof, incorporating Velux windows to provide a storage/ work area in roof space. We have managed to achieve the desired affect of blending in the extension and garage by combining reclaimed materials with new.

House Builder Brief: Internal Re-configuration and Refurbishment

A build with a tiled and pitched roof, an extension including a vaulted ceiling, velux windows, and French doors to garden. An internal re-configuration-refurbishment, with unusual structural steel supporting beams. We took out the dividing walls to form a lounge/ kitchen/ dining area with French doors and extended glass panels overlooking the garden. We designed and installed the kitchen, manufactured and installed the granite worktops. We installed oak flooring throughout and re-wired the entire property. We also installed down lighters and replaced the existing windows.

Client testimonial..."When we first moved into this old house we decided to make some radical structural changes to make best use of the space. This included removing walls and chimneys, as well as installing new roofs, walls, windows, skylights, doorways, and of course steel girders to keep the house up. PSE advised us at each step what was possible and what would work best. It was this careful and patient consultancy that helped us decide to go with PSE over the other quotes we received. Gladly the work was conducted just as PSE said it would be and the house has been transformed. We were happy with their professionalism (dealing with Planning Officers, time-keeping, tidyness, etc) and the quality of the finish. We have used PSE several times since then and would whole-heartedly recommend them to others".

Restoration of Church Font

We supplied and installed a concrete base and a bath stone base and then we re -located the font to its new position in the re furbished church

House Builders Brief: A sympathetic reconstruction of a tired period property

The existing lathe and plaster ceiling was taken out exposing original beams. Insulation, board and plaster were put between rafters to form a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. We installed French doors and balcony to over look the garden and laid a limestone floor We manufactured and installed all of the limestone sills. All this provided the fantastic finish.

Client testimonial "Tony and his team transformed our kitchen from a dark, cluttered room with no access to the garden to a light, airy room we want to be in all the time.
